LA Semiconductor is seeking a self-driven and motivated Project Manager to join our team. The selected individual will work with a highly capable program management team and is ultimately responsible for the oversight of semiconductor new product developments. The Project Manager will be accountable for project execution and deliverables per committed plan, including scope, schedule, and budget.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create project plans using corporate methodologies
- Responsible for project schedule, scope, cost, and success from design win to production release
- Track projects’ performances against baseline, identifying and addressing gaps, and proactively assessing and mitigating risks, communicating comprehensive status.
- Drive solutions to problems encountered during product development, test development, and qualification to maximize project revenue and profitability.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently to management, customer, team, and other stakeholders
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and systems
- Ability to operate independently, manage changing priorities, and drive team members to meet deadlines. Organizational skills are crucial.
- Must be tenacious and have a strong sense of urgency, responding quickly and accurately to stakeholders and management.
- Team player with strong listening skills that can take inputs and make informed decisions
- Concise and clear written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage cross functional, cross disciplined team members
- Drive continuous improvement across project management flows
- Must be willing and capable of critical problem solving. Weighing pros/cons for potential solutions and working with management to make the best possible decision
- Comprehension of the supply chain requirements involved for wafer fab, assembly, and test for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Power Point, Word, 8D, RCCAs, Lessons Learned
- Experience with Agile, Jira, and Oracle a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of the Critical Chain Project Management Methodology is a plus
- Able to travel as required (<10%)
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience required
- 2+ years in semiconductor industry preferred
- Ability to obtain ITAR certification and security clearance preferred
- PMP certification is a plus
